Trade & design
Gary works with trade professionals to create custom timber furniture that fits the brief, the space and the overall design.
Share the plans, drawings, dimensions or simply the idea. Gary can work from your design or help develop the details with you.
Timber, dimensions, finishes, joinery and other details are considered around the project and how the piece needs to work.
Each piece is made by Gary in his Mount Eliza workshop, with the same attention to detail whether it's a single piece or part of a larger project.

Furniture can be developed around your drawings, specifications, dimensions and design intent.
Every piece is built specifically for its intended location, rather than adapted from an existing design.
Gary works directly with you throughout the process, from the initial brief through to the finished piece.
Whether you're commissioning one statement piece or several pieces for a project, the approach remains personal and considered.

The project called for custom timber furniture that would complement the café's warm, contemporary interior while providing practical seating, display and storage.

Gary worked with the requirements of the space to create timber bench seating and a large custom shelving unit with integrated pigeon holes. The design uses timber throughout to add warmth and character while making the most of the available wall and seating areas.

Custom-made timber elements that feel like part of the café rather than additions to it — combining practical function with the warmth and character of handcrafted timber.
If you're a designer, builder, architect or other trade professional looking for custom timber furniture, Gary would be happy to talk through the project and see how he can help.
